Default Power seat switch

Is there an easy way to get this switch out, or do I have to take out the entire center console?

On the 91 interior:

remove radio/ gauge bezel
remove console bezel
switch has three or four screws holding it in place
I think they are 7 mm heads

should take about 15 minutes or so :yesnod:

On the early cars you have to take the shifter plate off. This is what every one calls the console. Its a pain to do.First take off the radio bezel, pull the shift **** off,to do this get a piece of really sticky tape and stick it on the button firmly and yank it up fast and the button should come off.prying it off is a last resort.Remove the C clip holding the **** on.This is down in the recess down in the ****.Next youll have to remove the console. This is the part that runs from the radio bezel to the back of the car.Open the console lid and look at the flat surface of the console,my 84 had a large piece of Velcro that held the cassette box.If your car has this remove this and you will see 4 small filler plugs that cover 4 bolts.Remove these and all the exposed screws and that should do it for the fasteners.Dont forget the screws at the back of the console.Once every thing is loose youll have to move the console sides away from the console to get it out.It helps to remove one of the seats and the screws at console sides. This is the carpeted part on the sides of the console. Its a pain in th AZZ job so give yourself plenty of time.Hope this was helpful,Jeff :banghead:
