Can anyone tell me where to get a free report of my drivers license record ?...I'm trying to find out the exact date of a ticket I got some time ago...thanks..
Some states may offer a printed copy of your record for free, but not in WA!! We pay $5.00 for a printed copy of our record. Employers can get a copy of an employees record for $5.
The driving history goes back 5 years for typical tickets and accidents (that covers both convictions and bail forfeitures). DUI records stay on the record for 15 years while Vehicular Assault and Vehicular Homicide stay on for life. Commercial records have violations back 55 years. Deferred prosecutions stay on for life and FTA remain for 10 years. The state DOL can suspend or revoke a license through administrative actions (for example, you get stopped for DUI and refuse to take a FST or blood test) and that stays on the record for 5 years after re-instatement.
Some pretty tough poopie if you screw up in WA
Gotta go through the State DMV, should be around 10 bucks.
& about 3 years to get thru the bureaucracy :banghead: :banghead:
I'm not sure how quick your state is, but I called the DMV in my town, and paid over the phone. That was on a Monday. I had the copy of my report in my email that day AND in my mailbox on Wednesday.. Pretty good
