I upgraded my Opti-spark as-per the Corvette Fever Tip http://www.corvettefever.com/howto/16758 using the GM vacuum harness # 12558921.
The toughest part was getting the plastic "Y" sealed up to the plastic Opti cap, the 10$ soldering iron I bought got a workout. I wanted to make sure it was sealed, so holding my finger over the end of the "Y" I would fill the cap up with water, finally after about 6 tries I got it to hold water, no drips .
This Opti has about 9k miles on it and the seal was already cracked at the bottom, so I replaced them with (sensor safe) RTV.
