I have a scratch on my front bumper cover that needs paint. I am going to pull the nose off and send it out to a body shop. Any recommendations on paint?
The car has low mileage and spends most of it's time in my garage. It's not sun faded but I want the paint to match exactly. It's '95 Polo-green. Should I order my paint from GM or does it matter?

Re: Paint Matching? (Atok)
I had the hood repainted on my polo coupe and the body shop matched it perfectly. If they're doing your bumper, make sure they put the addititive in the paint that makes it flexible or you will end up with tiny spider web cracks.
:iagree: I work at a car dealership, The stuff you want added is called "flex" It keeps the rock chips very small. You don't use it and the rock chips are massive. I wouldn't take the cover off though, unless you just want too. We ship cars all the time and paint ten or so bumpers a week. It is very routine work @ a body shop. They charge a dealer $100.00 to spray and clear coat. I am guessing you could use that as a baseline. Don't worry about matching. unless your car is silver or white. Those colors are tough. Good luck
:) I like Dupont paint the best

Leave the bumper on the car. You won't have to worry about dinging it up reinstalling it "PITA"
You also can see right off if the paint is a match IMHO
