lets talk about optis
this may belong in tech section but help me out. i am under the impression teh optispark got a little bit better each year and the 95-96 vett had the best optispark. did these opti improvments carry over to the F body as well? since they still made an LT1 powered F body in 97 wouldnt THEY have hte best optispark out there? One of my best friends is the general manager at a local shop and can get me GM parts for wholesale and if i order an opti for my 96 should i have to specify anything to make sure they dont just send me an opti that may be built like the 92 optis were? am i making sense? i just want to make sure i get the best one available

95 & up optisparks are vented. Find out the in service date on your car. Maybe if you are lucky, it was put on the road less than 7 years ago. In which case the optispark would be covered by the 7/70 Federal emissions warranty.
