I was wondering if anyone could give a diagnosis. When I go over speed bumps or bumps that make the front end raise I get a squeaking. Is this the shocks or the bushings or something else. Any ideas? Thanks.
But also try some easy stuff like putting some grease in the guide pins that positon the hood and also on the hood latch mechanism. That helped mine. I also had one worn hood hinge that was causing the front to go up and down.
You can narrow the squeak down by using WD-40 or something similar. Spray one of the bushings and go for a ride. If it didn't help, go on to the next. If you have sprayed all of the bushings and still have the squeak, then move on to the shocks, guide pins, hood hinges, etc.
I believe it has something to do with the suspension, because it only happens when go over large smooth raises or bumps. It reminds me of the shocks compressing and then you hear the squeak. Does that make sense.

Re: Front End Squeak (Brtheez)
It's probably the shocks if it's coming from under the wheel bay, but if it sounds closer to the cockpit, it could definitely be something as simple as the hood latch or even your door hinge frames on speed bumps. I sprayed mine down with WD-40 aswell as the hood latches and haven't had any yet. Also, if you're braking on the speed bumps, it could come from your brake shoes when the calipers hit em. Spray em down with some Stop Squeak if that's the case. They make many of those products that you can just spray on without having to take apart the wheel bearings, etc. I had all of these probs cept for my shocks, cuz I didn't replace them and I haven't had a squeak since over a speedbump now.
