If you're referring to a cold air intake there are several options.
If you're referring to the intake manifold there isn't one. The LT4 intake manifold dos a very good job and will easily support 500+ horsepower applications.
The only option you have is an LT4 carb intake which GM makes, but it won't clear your hood if you were to do something silly like bolt a carb to it.
nonono.. not an Intake Manifold.. Something like a CAI.. I see the dual's w/ KNN Filters on them on the C5's in such.. And also the ones with three.. (something to replace stock air filter housing)
There are plenty of options out there. The most popular seems to be just a K&N air filter with an open air lid. That's what I use and it works great. On my car it's worth 11 horsepower over a stock lid and paper filter.
Unfortunately the drawback is that MY setup on a nearly stock car was only worth about 3 horses. The difference is that mine is highly modified, his wasn't. The short of it is that my engine needed the extra airflow, his didn't.
Other options are the SLP claw, or the Vortex Rammer. There is also a ram air setup that goes through the stock front license plate housing.
The horsepower difference between all of these different setups has never been tested that I'm aware of. The open air lid seems to just be the most cost effective and as such I think that's what you'll see most people using.
Otherwise there isn't a lot of tweaking you can do on the intake setup of these cars, it's a very straight shot to the mainfold, not a whole lot of room for improvement.
Yes but it's extremely expensive and probably very pointless. I don't think anybody has ever proven that the ribbed duct is any kind of restriction. It is there really to allow it to flex as the motor torques around. A smooth duct is going to be more rigid and will probably be more likely to pop off.
