just a couple of questions, I repainted the wiper arms over the weekend and replaced the wipers with anco 20". the problem is there alittle to close to the hood. Instead of raising the hood I would rather just switch the wipers. Any recomendations on which aftermarket wipers are low enough to clear the hood, or do I need to go with oem wipers @$17.00 a piece. It seems anything that says corvette on the box is double the price.:nopity
p.s. I've never used the wipers but I don't like the way it looks.
My second question is has anyone ever painted there wheel well covers. I'm going to rotate the tires and figured while I had the tires off I would hit them with a flat black. Is this something I could do? and if so what kind of paint? ( yea I know I need to get a life.)

Re: windshield wipers (hynsdog)
I installed 1996 corvette wiper arms and blades on my coupe. That took care of the alignment problem. For the inner wheel wells, remove them, clean them and dry them well, spray them with bumper black paint ( used to paint black exterior plastic). It is a semigloss that is designed to flex a little. Any parts store can help you. Easy job.......... :yesnod:
If you have the original wiper blades, I would take the rubber inserts out and switch them with the new ones. Then put the stock blades back on. Not only are they lower, they are made to hit each other when they park.
The fenders can be cleaned with some carwash and a good plastic brush. Then a some silicone tire spray to keep it nice.
