Default what a night!

Well, I figured I would get the Vette up and change all the fluids. Got the oil changed with no problem. Went to the ZF6 and got the fill plug out with no problem. Next, I went to remove the drain and the SOB is almost stripped and on tight as hell. Cant get it off for the life of me. So I decided screw it! Got the rear differential changed. That wasnt too bad. Now, I am trying to figure out if I want to go pump the old fluid out of the transmission and pump the new fluid back in or if I should go try to pick up a drain plug tomorrow and work my butt off to get the stripped one off. My guess, I should probably pump the fluid out, but I really would like to let it drain a while. Oh well! Why does everything have to be a PITA for me. :mad
Back to work!

I know its probably NOT what you want to hear, but I'd do whatever it took to remove the damaged drain plug.
I like things to be 'right'.
You'll be glad you did the next time you want to change gearbox lube...

Tight plug, stripped plug? This is what I do. I take in for service at the dealer.
Works everytime.

You are right. It wasnt what I wanted to hear, but I kept thinking the same thing last night. I really wanted that drain plug off so I got after it again and after some more work, I got it off. I let it drain over night. It didnt look as bad once I got it off, but I am going to see if I cant get a new one today. I dont want any future problems with it. At least now I know everything has been changed and its good to go!
