I always use latex gloves when working on the car.
Somewhat 'faggy', but it keeps my hands from getting dirty & cut. :jester

The correct term is "faggity". My boss would use these at work. I think he was afraid of getting his tender little faggity hands dirty or raw.

Re: Fuel filter (jabez)
Those of us in the medical field do not find them to be gay at all. They are a PITA but thank God for the protection. I bring home a box now and then to help with the car work - sure beats scrubbing those nails before heading in to work! :yesnod: P.S Is it true that you have to take the cross brace off before changing the fuel fillter on a vert? I've bought the new filter but have not put it on yet.

Sunday, I changed my air dams--one of those jobs you need 3 hands for [it would help if the bolts were longer].
Now I call them damn air dams. :jester

Re: Fuel filter (corvetteronw)
You can change the fuel filter on a vert without removing the crossbrace. I have changed mine on my '91 at least 4 times (in 150,000 miles), and I have never removed the crossbrace. BUT...getting to it is a @%#$&...and that is putting it lightly...
