I just got done trying Mequiars NXT Generation Tech Wax. It works. I really didn't believe the hype, but it's cheap enough to try. At first I did just the top of the tail section, from the gas door lid to the lip, from side to side. Let it "dry" for 15 minutes as per instructions and wiped off. I could actualy see a difference from the rest of the tail section. It was a shade darker, shiny as heck, and no swirls. I finished off the entire tail section and it's almost like a new paint job. I highly recommend anyone with a darker colored car tryng it. I did do a fender on my silver PT Cruiser (which is highly polished and I take to shows) but really couldn't see a big difference in that color.
Worked great on Artic White as well. I will continue to use it. I also have a "beater" Honda Prelude that the paint job is is shot, pretty chalked up, with lots of dead paint. It actually put a shine on that car too. I sprayed it off with the hose and I think it is the first time I have seen water bead-up on that car in five years.
Last weekend I clayed my 35th, applied severla coats of NXT and finished up with a coat of booster wax.
The result is a surface smoother than glass (and cleaner than my windows).
I strongly suggest you apply a coat of booster wax over several coats of NXT. Spray some onto a cotton applicator and wipe onto the entire car; then simply wipe off (with NXT you should let it cure completely, up to 1hr in cooler weather). Also, use only motion along body lines to avoid putting even micro swirls into the paint.

Last night I purposely took my 35th to a NJ pub in the rain, for a "test". When leaving, I had to show off the finish to a copla friends. They were amazed at the shine and feel fo the finish, even after driving in overspray for 1/2hr. Tomorrow morning I'll hose her off to see how the new finish survived the ordeal with road grime.
NXT is GREAT. best I've ever used. I was going to clay bar, but after using the NXT, the finish is as smooth as my girlfriend's a, opps, excuse me, a baby's butt.

Caaaarefulll...the Zaino cult will hunt you down if you post things like that!
My best test for NXT was my winter beater...it's been 10 weeks since I did just the hood on the beater...and water still beads...but that's not the cool part!
1 week after I put the stuff on the hood...we had snow and ice, and that really trashes any paint protection...1 week after that it poured out here and I was driving around...the whole car was dirty but the hood!!! It was cool.
Looks like Barry Meguiar has a winner with NXT...and all for $12.99 at Target (boost was $5.99).
It's going to be sunny tomorrow, so I'll have time to renew the shine before Real Street competition at E-Town; maybe the shine will temp. dazzle my opponents and give me that 'edge". ;)
