Default Why no anodizing?

Has anyone had any parts anodized on here? I see a lot of guys painting their stuff, which is great and all, but typically it won't last. Unless you have the machinary and prep knowledge to do it. On the bike scene, it seems almost everyone is having their aluminum anodized. What gives? I would like to polish my intake and have it anodized clear/ red. What do you guys think?
Or should I just go with a clear/ red powder coat? Anyone have any suggestions. And has anyone ever actually tried to powder coat?

Powder coat is a lot more durable than paint. I don't know anybody who does anodizing, seems like it would be very costly.

Check on my webpage for some pics of my powder coated parts.

Looks very nice.

1. How much would your friend charge for a plenum, runners, and manifold?
2. Did he use the setup like the one sold at www.caswellplating.com?
3. Has he tried any of the clear or metallic powders?
4. How in the hell did you get webspace from WKU to put a personal webpage up? U of L wouldn't even think about letting us do something like that.
