Fram Airhog?
Looks like Fram is copying K&N's design with their new "Airhog" air filters. They look like pretty reasonable copies. Anyone here tried them yet? Supposed to be less expensive. Last the life of your car, etc.
Also, since I'm shopping for a new air filter I came across an article where several types of air filters were tested and compared. Oil bath, and conventional paper types did the worst overall. But I was surprised to see that Amsoils' foam equaled K&N for amount of air it will pass, and did much better for actually filtering out dust. It did better in several of the other categories too, but I am not a scientist and didn't understand all the details.
Another article that I came across stated in Europe, most of the Go-Fast people have switched over to oiled foam filters such as "Fx" and Amsoil. Anyone else aware of this trend? Anyone here using the Amsoil air filter? what do you think about it?
Thanks
Glen
