My wife and I decided to take the Vette out for a drive tonight to try and forget that we have another week of work facing us. I look in my side mirror and see a white C3 vert coming up beside me. When he got beside me, he gave a nice :seeya . That was the first wave I have received since owning the car. It was a very cool experience. Of course, I waved back!
i remember my first wave, what an awesome feeling it was. i love when im taking friends for a ride and get a wave, they always ask do you know that guy? i just of smile and say sort of.
Playing cards the other night with several couples and one of the wives mentioned the first time she drove her husband's Vette. He works for GM and leased a C5 for one year. Anyways, the first time she drove it someone in another Vette waved to her. She thought, "What is that prevert waving to me for?" She thinks the whole wave thing is childish and stupid. I told her it a recognition for owning one the worl'd most beloved cars and kind of a brotherhood thing. She said, "It's JUST a car!".

I love that too. When I took my neighbor for a cruise we passed by a house where the guy was washing his vette. I honked and we exchanged waves. My neighbor then asked that question. Ah what a good feeling. :seeya
I had a black C5 pull up to me and talk to me about my car. He told me he liked the wheels and made the car look great. That was a great feeling. Mostly C5 people reluctantly wave back to me.
