I have an 84 and the passenger window will not go up or down. It is open about 2/3 of the way. So I took the panel off and after reading the manual I can't get the regulator out because the window is down to far to line the holes up. Is there any manual way to open/close the window? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

If it is the window ribbon it is most likely trash and will need to be replaced, just try to break the ribbon and remove the parts you may be able to move the window up and down by hand.

You can also have someone press the window up button while you pull the window up with your hands. After that find a regulator for a later model and take the door panel off and remove the whole regulator assembly and replace it with the newer style. :hurray:
