Is the radio slot on the C-4 a 1 1/2 DIN or a Double DIN????? Gotta replace my crappy radio and want to fill the entire slot without the "filler" stuff around the edge of a single DIN radio. Thanx in advance!!!!
It's 1 1/2 din . Jensen and Pioneer make one that fits or Ecklers has adapter plate for standard din that looks pretty good . I've got one and it's perfect !
:seeya :auto:
No such thing as stoopid questions here. As far as radios go, it's one of the industry standards for the size of the opening in your dash for the radio. Double-DIN means it is twice the size of the DIN standard.
As for DIN itself, here's an excerpt from acronymfinder.com:
"Deutsches Institut für Normung e.V. (German Institute for Standardization; similar to US ANSI) "
I don't think the spec includes the depth of the radio. If you look at head unit specs you will find that they differ quite a bit.
