After 2 months of frustrating construction laying new water lines, the crews have finally started on the new roadbed in front of my house. Finally! I can't wait... less dust, less mud, and new pavement. I'm in heaven!!! No more roaming *carefully* through the dirt with the Corvette (well, soon anyway).

NOW I know where Manchester is. It is near the "Maise and Blue". Hail to the victors valiant, hail to the conquering heroes, hail hail to Michigan, the champions of the West!
I'll bet you will smile :D like this every time your tires roll onto that new road. Congrats! :hurray: :auto:

Yes, I can't wait for the whole project to be over. BTW, where's Lowell? I could look it up, but that's no fun now is it?! :D
Just East of Grand Rapids. It is on one of the back roads to Flint. So every once in awhile I get to see a caravan of new GM products going down the road all camouflaged for a test drive. I have already seen the new C6 twice in the last year! :chevy

Backroads to Flint? I grew up in Swartz Creek (just west of Flint). By backroads, you wouldn't be talking about M-21 would you?
You are getting off easy! I have had a construction zone in front of my place since LAST MAY! Hopefully they will be done within the next month! You are right though it makes it very difficult to keep the vette clean. :cry

That's the one, it is called Main Street in Lowell. The Chevy test caravans stop at the local McDonalds. Each time I have seen them I did not have a camera!

Yeah, there was a point in time where I couln't get anything in or out of my driveway, much less a Corvette. In fact, today I came home to a huge trench about 6' wide and 2' deep running the length of the street in front of my house. I guess they're prepping the new roadbed. Now I just gotta convince the wife that we really need an H1!
