Even when it had the original 2.59 gears, my 92 A4 LT1 would easily smoke 'em if I merely hit the gas too hard from a standstill. Now with 3.54 gears, I can light 'em up even if I'm rolling at 20 mph! :hurray:
I have a 2013 grand sport with automatic transmission. OK you can stop laughing now. Is it possible to burn rubber with this car. I just got back from the Ron Fellows school in Nevada and had no problem burning out with their grand sports with manual transmission. Same engine. I had no problem getting rubber in first, and second. I tried my car with and without Traction control and tried it in sports mode first gear. Still no rubber. 430 HP I should get something.
A 9 year old thread The only thing you're getting is an IBTL
And not only that, but he's asking about a C6 in the C4 forums. Runflat, this should make good "fodder" for the C4 lovers...the C6 GS won't burn out!!

You should get something, but I suspect it was your "technique". My C6 ('06, 6-speed) would BARELY do a burn out the first couple times that I tried. It was freakin' pathetic. I turned off TC rev'ed it to about 3500, dumped the clutch and it spun for about 20'. I was mortified.
WHAT HAPPENED: the instant the car started to go, the Active Handling sensed some "yaw" and pretty quickly shut down the party. I later learned about pushing and holding the AH/TC button for a (yawn) 10 seconds to completely disable all TC and AH. Once I did that, the thing would burn tire (and wheel hop like a mother) for miles.
Turn everything, ALL OFF, and try again. IB4TL

Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
