Default 5 point belt installation

I have a 94 coupe. I need to install 5 point belts for this autocross season. I do not have racing seats so I am under the impression that I need a harness support bar (confirm this if possible). I can't find definitive instructions for installing the belts. Can anyone give me some insight to this procedure or should I pay to have them put in? I just did brakes and tires so I would love to not pay for installation.

RD Racing sells everything you need. I bought the cross bar but haven't yet put in the 5 point harnesses. Everything he sells is made to fit our cars right.

Directions for an Arizona Speed & Marine Harness Bar emailed to me when I inquired to them about it. Hope it helps. Very simple to install

BELT BAR INSTRUCTIONS
‘84-’90 CORVETTE
Part # 5000 Black/50201 Chrome

Note: These instructions assume you have working knowledge of hand tools, their operation and of the car which you are working. If you do not feel comfortable with this assumption, it is recommended that you take the parts and vehicle to a qualified facility for the installation of these parts. It is recommended you have access to a factory shop manual for installation. Arizona Speed & Marine, Inc. accepts no responsibility for improper or faulty installation of the parts, or for the accuracy or omissions in these instructions.

1. Remove seat belt shoulder anchor bolts.
2. Remove lift off top bolts.
3. Install side belt bar plates using the stock seat belt anchor bolts with stock belts in between bolt and plate. ( Leave loose for now )
4. Install main bar with new bolts for lift off top mounting.
5. Tighten main bar to side plates.
6. Tighten seat belt anchor bolts to 37 ft. pounds of torque.
7. Install safety belts with hardware supplied.

:iagree:

You'll need the Cross Bar or S/T Frame Support and a lap belt kit. R-D has great products and customer service. Tell Dave I sent ya.
