Am I lacking power?
Just bought my 92 automatic last year and have been doing repairs and treating it like a baby. Just now starting to have a little fun with it. Shouldn't it be very easy to spin the wheels at take off on black top? I'm new to it so maybe it's supposed to hook up like that, and NOT spin very much. It does fine with a little brake, or whipping it around doing 360's, but I thought a burnout would be a little easier (no light brake to get it started). Just want to get it out of my system before I buy new tires.

If you have auto I bet you have the 2.59 gear ratio. If it had 3.07 gear ratio it would be easy to light those tires up. 3.07 ratio was also a gear ratio in auto's but theres more 2.59's out there. Also 92 had a little less torque than 93 and up maybe thats why too.

With this Six Speed and 3.45 gears in my 94 from about 10 miles a hour or so hit hard and tires smoke up a little and second in real hard also about 6 to 8 feet of rubber behind you. Tune up is the key with a LT-1. :cool: :D :auto:
