There are a bunch of threads over in the C4 Tech/Performance section.
Now why they call the part Tech/Performance and and not something simple and more descriptive I don't know. And then there is the Scan and Tune section. Scan? Scan what? And Tune? Tune-ups? I've been here a long time and I still don't know the difference. Sorry, got off on a

Re: Shock Recomendation (Vettefan7)
if your mostly driving around town and highway, not autocross or track, than you might try KYB. I have had them on my 90 for a couple of years now and I am pleased.
kyb's for cheap, edelbrock for a little more dough, money no object go for the remote reservoir coil overs with remote adjusters and dial it in for whatever whenever.
im ordering kyb's :)
note- the above is a summation of over a years worth of watching threads and procrastinating ordering shocks
(man wouldnt it be cool to see them remote reservoir olins behind your tires tho)

Re: Shock Recomendation (Vettefan7)
Does anyone have a good recomendation for shocks that give a good ride for a 1993
Since your looking for a "good ride", can you qualify this more clearly? Are you a casual driver? Looking for good all around performance? Not concerned about a little roughness at low speeds? Want solid feel at medium to high speeds? And most importantly, is money an object?
IMHO In order of quality from good to best;
Delco (OEM)
KYB (OEM)
Edelbrock
Bilstein (good stuff - OEM performance)
Koni (when all you build is shocks, you know your business well)
QA1 (ditto Koni plus 10)
There are many other brands that other CF members will comment on I'm sure of.
jrc--i always wonder how a shock that cost as much as bilsteins do are always shot at 20k miles.
but wait, for a large fee you can have them rebuilt  (theyre a one piece welded construction shock, obviously they just replace them and charge new prices)
sorry-those oem bilstein shocks just seem like a ripoff to me.(not talking the remote adj ones-fx3?those may be nice)
what years had kyb? glad to hear that they are oem.at 150 bucks for 4 i wont mind changing em out every 20-25k if they go limp
