Hey guy's
I've been thinking about installing a trans-go shift kit in my 92 vert and have been reading some of the threads in the archives but I'm still confused so maybe some of you guys can clear this up for me. When installed do you manually shift D-2-1? Do you lose auto all together? In other words do I control the shift through acceleration or through shifting? Keep in mind I was thinking about selling the auto for a manual, I would perfer to keep the car If this would satisfy my needs.
also Which kit would fit the 92, and if anyone in northern NJ had this done where did you go to install?

I THINK the manual setup requires you to manually up shift from 1st or 2nd but that it will do the auto shifting if you have the selector in D or OD.
I had a TransGo like shift kit installed at Grant Transmission in CT with very good results. Give Grant a call (# on my site) and ask him about how it works and maybe get a quote.

Yes on this kit you can do both, the shift pattern remains the same and you can manually shift or let it shift its self.
I got the shift kit from http://www.pro-built.net/ They tailor the shift kit for the Corvette by altering the 2-3 shift.
