Tune up options!
Ok, i'm having my opti replaced an a few other things done and was wondering what else I should have done while there under the hood.
Here is what all i'm having done
1 Optil
2 plugs
3 plug wires
4 water pump
5 thermo stat
6 serp belt
any ideas guy, the car is running fine, just doing preventive maint. BTH i have a 1996 Lt1

Water hoses, fuel filter, and O2 sensors are all normal wear and tear items that will need attention at some time.
I had a friend who replaced all the belts and hoses on a yearly basis. That may be overkill, but he was never left on the side of the road for a busted radiator hose either. Of course, this was when all of them could be replaced for less than $100.
