I am reading a engine code of "54". (Fuel Circuit.) What do I look for?
1985 Coupe. Just replaced the fuel pump about a year ago.

Per the Helms manual for my 85... Code 54 will set if the ECM detects less than 2 volts (for longer than 1.5 seconds) at terminal B2 since the last distributor reference pulse. Terminal B2 is connected to terminal A of the fuel pump relay, to the fuel pump itself and to the oil pressure switch. Sort of a feedback loop for the ECM, since it Turns the relay on by powering relay terminal C which connects to ECM terminal A1 (12 volt relay drive). Bottom line is that it could be a bad wire or connection (relay or ECM), bad relay, bad oil pressure switch or bad ECM itself. You need the troubleshooting schematic from the manual to sort it out (and a voltmeter, and a test light).
