Its time to replace the pads & rotors on my '92. Should I use OEM or are there better options? Also, regarding the stainless-braided brake hoses: Are they any good? better than original plain rubber lines? worse? Opinions please. Thanks

Re: Brake upgrade (PoloGreen1992C4)
Brake lines will deteriorate over time. Replace them with steel braided ones. Better pedal feel, less hose flexing, and a little more durable.
As far as better pads and rotors. Of course there are better replacement parts. You just need to decide what your budget is, and if you want all out braking performance, or are happy with the current level you have based upon your driving style.
Your budget will dictate what type of upgrade you get. You can get new
rotors and pads and braided lines for under $400. if you can do the work
yourself. You can get much help on the Forum on the installation. For parts,
check E Bay. Good luck.
as everyone said, depends on your budget, and how you drive.
i just got my 12" Brembo replacements from Tire Rack for less than $230 with shipping. braided lines are another $130, which i couldn't afford yet.
although i autocross about once a month, budget dictated this time. incidentally, if i wanted better braking performance for few $$ i would change to a different pad.
