Default Toledo pro hood

Just curious if $995.00 is a good price for a well fitting Toledo Pro hood cowl induction? I found somewhere to get one for that price+ shipping, for info if anyone else is interested E-mail me @ (kabn6@charter.net)

Is that the race version or the one with the full inside? Also, what is the cowl size? I think toledo pro makes a 2.5" and a 4"

Yes it is a full bolt on replacement, and it is lighter than a stock hood too. List price is 1399.00 so that price of 995.00 sounds pretty damn SWEET to me! Where did you find this Billy?

My LPE 3" induction hood goes for around $1500 and that is without the shipping. If it looks good and fits well go for it!!!

I've always liked the look of a simple cowl hood on C4s, no scoops and vents and crap, just old-fashioned I wish I could afford one!

love the looks but have to ask,how does the induction at the windhield base help with air to engine?
thats a pretty much dead air spot on a c4 at speed.
i have a dusty driveway and that area of the car will stay covered in dust until i blow it off with compressed air or wash it.
are you routing the intake differently with those hoods?
would be cool if it had a flapper like the ss chevelles and elcaminos had.they were neat looking from inside.
oh,bet you can leave your oil plug on the plenum and shut the hood now too eh?

I think 5 need to be purchased to get that killer deal, I would do it but I cant spend the cash this month on a hood. I need it for headers.

As long as the tip of the cowl is within 1 inch of the windshield it will draw the maximum amount of air from the down force of the air hitting the windshield. The LPE cowl induction hood has the ability of bringing the under hood temps down 20 degrees.

Excuse me? I just said that I like the look of the cowl hoods, I then said I don't like scoops and vents, but cowl hoods I like. What are you trying to say, that I don't even have a Vette? How did I offend you, I was complimenting your hood... where did you misunderstand something?

My avatar doesn't have anything to do with my car, congratulations you can observe . Get your facts straight before you start going off on me.

"Dad" bought Vette? I work nearly every day to pay for this car, something you may not be able to comprehend, jealous are you that I have a Vette before you got yours?

The "crap" I was referring to was not a hood like yours, I was talking about the hoods with scoops and vents and stuff on them. A simple cowl hood, I like, nothing else. Re-read the post and see if it makes sense.

Cowl hoods = good.
Scoops and vents = bad.

it was pretty clear to me... not much there to misinterpret.
i hate when posts get hijacked for something this silly.

anyway, thanks to the original poster... at that price i actually had to think about it for a few minutes. but i still like the stock hood, and everything fits just fine. no temp issues either, so it would just be a "looks" mod. and i think a cowl hood might bump me out of some of the "stock" classes that i like to run in.
