A friend wants me to help him replace his door window seal (outer) on a late 80's Corvette. I am at a bit of a disadvantage since I've never worked on a C4.
Could someone please give me any tips that you may have on doing this job before I get in over my head?
Thanks in advance for any help that I can get.
Re: Door window seal replacement question (1979toy)
It's not too bad really. Once you remove the inner door panel it will become obvious. You'll need to drill out the pop rivets at each end and then pull the seal out. You'll probably destroy the old seal as the clips that hold it to the door are barbed, but of course that's not a problem.

Be careful not to drill through the outside of the door though. Not that I know anyone that did that. Thank god I was getting ready to paint the car, WHEW
