I presume you are working on your 84. 84 had the window ribbon/ slider to move window up and down. if window goes up and down but is really slow, you can replace just the motor. you will have to remove the assembly and drill out the rivets to replace the motor. If the window ribbon is trashed, you can purchase a new one and replace- also having to remove the track assembly to repair. Another option is to upgrade to later style window tracks- but be prepared for big cost and pain in the a** install. Good Luck
