problem with third brake light

problem with third brake light
New owner of a 1991 steel blue corvette with 19,000 miles. My problem is that my third brake light will not work. Checked and replaced bulb still no luck. Any suggestions ? Thank You

Check the switch at the brake pedal had the same issue on the 90. It was bad

The brake light switch at the base of the steering column and above the brake pedal also operates the 3rd brake light. There is a separate wire (blue, I think) from that switch to the 3rd brake light. It could be a bad switch or that wire may have pulled out from the connectior. Pull the connector from the switch and check the switch terminals for continuity. You can apply 12 to the blue wire to check the light opeation. IfF the light comes on, the switch is bad.
