Hmmmm... likely causes are the alternator is going bad (supplying just enough to barely keep her running but not enough to get the battery fully charged) , the "new" battery is defective from the factory (I recently had a string of 3 Sears DieHards that went bad one right after the other... so it does happen), or there is a serious short drawing down the battery. Time for some serious troubleshooting. A SERIOUS stereo system that draws tons of current could possibly draw a battery way down if operated when the engine is turned off and the alternator is not there to charge it back up. Good luck!

You might wanna change your batt cable wires. Old ones can really crap out and suck more power than they should. What I would do first is replace your battery terminal screws and make sure they're not rusty. Also, keep in mind........when your car's engine isn't running....neither is the alternator. So nothing's providing power to the batt and it's drawing off its reserves. Get a batt with high reserves if you're gonna do that. Also, u might wanna make sure your batt is tested and not just "new". A pre de-sulfation process could lead to a dud. I went through 5 "new" batteries in less than 2 hours becuase the morons at the auto store didn't check them. I was installing em myself and thought it was the coil wires when the whole time it was the batteries themselves. They were all packed together and de-sulfated from poor shelf-life. Believe me...I learned the hard way a year ago. Go with the most obvious, simple and uncostly options first.....those batt terminal/coil wires aren't super cheap, and they're a real PiA to install cuz one of em's like 6 ft long if I'm not mistaken.
