Shift Button Needs Replacement
My auto shift button literally broke in half. I need to replace it. I see Mid-America has the parts, has anybody done this. How does the leather "shift ****" come off ? Is there a set screw on it somewhere ? Happy 4th to all. :flag

If it is similar to my 85, there is a C-clip holding the shift **** on. The botton can be replaced w/o taking the **** off.

^yes they are all the same since 84
the c-clip keeps the **** on, the button itself can be removed using a screwdriver for leverage (if you don't care about cracking it further)

Thanks for the info guys. I'll get out a screwdriver and do some prying.
