Hi guys i have the chance to buy my aunts 85 Corvette she bought it brand new it has 8,000 original miles on it gold/brown color combo glass top auto car its pretty much mint in every way it sits in a heated carpeted garage so whats it really worth
I would consider the car NEW with only 8k miles so if it's "mint" I think it'll go for over 15k. Some say with extremely low miles the car might have a lot of problems so you might want to think about that too. I say the lower the miles the better though
Thats kind of what a figured 12-15K its not what i really want i hate the all digital dash i really like the 94-96s alot more i think her car is more suited for a collector
The May, 2004 issue of Vette magazine's pricing guide suggests an '85 coupe in excellent condition is worth $13k.
................These pricing guides in Corvette Fever and Vette magazine are full of poopie. The prices for these guides come from the people that own the speciality Corvette sales dealerships. What would they sell a car like for with this kind of milage?Id say between $15-$20k.As far as people telling you the low milage of this car should be a deterrent, its crap.I would pretty much give her what she wanted for it.The reason being you know the history of the car.Keep us up dated and dont let it get away.

Re: Whats it really worth ? (Vsix)
Current issue of Corvette Enthusiast says "excellent" is $11,550. Not too bad for a "new" car.I read somewhere that the Vette price guide was flawed this year as they used some of the previous year data by mistake. See what your local Credit Union has to say. I'll bet it will be around $10,000.. :flag
I am a car dealer from Houston, Tx. and a car like you are talking about is rare. I would say that it is worth every bit of $15K, but the problem is no one wants to buy an 85 for $15K. Hold on to it unless you want to sell it for far less than it is worth, It'll be worth alot more later on.
