Hmmmmm. If you want to go out and test your brakes, I suggest you offload all that cargo first.
Seriously, a high performance car should not be carrying around a bunch of junk. Several months ago, I spotted a clean-looking '93 black coupe in the parking lot at work. Walked over to check it out...and about pukked.
Inside were several coat hangers, one empty and one full Kleenex box, a child's pink sweater, an empty Wal-mart bag, and some CD's...all laying in the back.
Some people.
Keep 'em clean, folks, keep 'em clean. Loose items in the hot rod can be very distracting/dangerous. And it looks tacky.
I picked up a C5 cargo net on ebay a month or so ago for something like $8 plus $3 s&h. I haven't installed it yet, but it looks like it's a bit wider at the bottom - no a biggie since there will be attachments only at the top corners. You might keep an eye out there for one.
I would love to have a cargo net, although I would place it further back near the midpoint of the hatch area. It would help keep smaller items like shopping bags in place.

If you'd have looked in mine today you would have seen a couple loose bath towels, empty plastic grocery bags, a roll of paper towels, baby wipes and a litter box. After you've figured out the cargo net, start working on a kitty litter deflector as it's a real pain when it (and the cats) comes flying forward out of the cargo area after a hard braking situation...
