what special steps are required to replace the bose system on an 87?
i know on the later ones there is quiete a bit involved

It's not so much involved... it's just remove everything you see.

The head, the amps... everything comes out... new wires go in...

You will need to find sources for power, ground, memory and antenna. I don't know them off hand for an 87, but I can check the book. But the book ain't here, so I will have to check it tonite.
