Default question about lights

Today I got in my car turn my low beams on (i usually drive with them on all the time) then I noticed some yard tools barely in the way so I got out to move them out of the way so I could back up out of the garage....well before I got back in my car I walked around to the front (I love how the front looks with the low beams on!) well I noticed the inner section of the low beams weren't on. The section of the lense towards the corners of the car was on but the the section where it splits up towards the center of the car and the corvette plate wasn't on. Please tell me they aren't supposed to come on when you just have your low beams on because I looked at where the bulbs are and it looks very hard to get to but since both sides are like this I doubt they are burnt out.

To make sure you know what part I'm talking about.....I'm talking about the front low beams NOT the side/park lights. If you look closely the front low beam light are in one piece but split up kinda and the section closest to the front plate that says corvette isn't coming on, hope you know what I'm talking about.

probably seems like a dumb question but I've never noticed it until today so were they supposed be on or what?

thanks

Default Headlights

You had no answers so I thought I would take a shot at it. I have a 1996
and have replaced my stock bulbs and glass light. On the inside of the
glass portion, there is an additional bulb (not the bright or high beam) but an additional
bulb that most of us do not install or hook-up. I hope this helps some.

It sounds like you're asking about the fog lights. They only work with the parking lights, and low beams.
Turn on your parking lights and press the button below the headlight switch. A green light (like the ones on the electric A/C and stereo) should let you know when the fog lights are on.
