I had a white 94 coupe that was just too white, no pizazz. So I took 3/4 inch pinstripping all around the belting in red. Then I added red letters to the rear CORVETTE. With its red leather interior, this is all it took to set apart my Vette from all the other plain white ones.

I think it is a great idea to make it stand out from the crowd. If it was a rare care or a rare color then I would not. Here is a 95 Pacer at a May 04 car show in Michigan where I think this particular graphic idea may have come from.

I think it would look cool. I agree though, you might wanna look into having the flags PAINTED on, because then you can protect the shine of it with wax...with a sticker, it may fade over time.
Thanks so much for the comments guys. I'm really glad that the opinion appear to be equal, at best. I agree with almost all of what you guys have said.
It is my plans to make the graphic understated, nowhere near as prominent as the one in the picture provided by corvetteronw.
Corvetteronw, thanks so much for that picture. I was thinking about the bottom of the door, but maybe I will have to take my colored cutout (yes, I actually made 3 different size models, and used crayons, and it was fun) in order to try to size the thing..
For those of you suggesting paint, I am doing exactly what the others said, since a paint job with such a graphic would cost me $4,000 if not more, while the graphic would cost about $150. And since my car rarely sits out in the sun, I expect the graphic to last many, many years.
We had vinyl graphics designed and applied to our Electron Blue convertible last August and love them!! We wanted the red/white/blue American flag theme...and feel it was very appropriate since the car is blue with red interior and a white top. See what you think...
Basically it's your car, if you like it go for it.
I've asked for opinions here and people were against things but I did it anyway and they all are doing the same thing now.
I've never been a fan of big graphics but after seeing the cars with the flag in these replies...... they look good to me. I have been thinking about some very subtle striping for my Vette, but not sure how good a red, white, and blue flag graphic would look on polo green and I already have a flag on my hatch.
Personally, I would go with paint, I had my pickup striped by CycleArt in Fresno, they did a great job.
