Well the dealership on that 93' Ruby wants 14,200.00 plus tax and the Vette needs tires an antenna and a battery, and one door needs weather stipping on the drivers window and a good cleaning. Its a coupe 32k miles not 29k and its an auto. So I would probably have 16k to get it near perfect. Is this a good deal or would the money spent be better of buying a 1995 or 1996 Vette for around the same price?
What would you do?undefined
Here's the pricing guide on a '93 Vette coupe auto, from May, 2004 Vette magazine, based on condition:
$19k - Excellent condition
$15.5 - Good condition
$13k - Average condition
Soo, it all depends on what you realy want; if that Ruby is what you "need", go for it. You might try to get some of that work done or a drop in price, but it is a fairly low mileage car.
If you do your own work it would take about $1k to deal with the issues mentioned.
Either way, good luck in your search for "your C4".
I have a ruby and (I know I am gonna get killed for this) aside from the wonderful color and some special cosmetic appointments, it is just another LT1 Corvette. For the money you are describing, you could pick up a nice 94-96 (at least in my area).
...oh.. and for my ruby brethren, remember that I love my car!
