Default Dome lights on

94's dome light will not turn off. Have checked the door swtches they appear to work as the door ajar light goes on and off with the door open and closed. Suspect the timer, where is it located and how can I test it.
Also the rear hatch switch is broken, with it unplugged should be the same as having the hatch closed?
Any help is appreciated.

With the hatch switch unplugged all should be well. Mine is unplugged since I have broken it three times.

Where is the timer or relay that controls dome lights in a 94. They won't go off.

mine used to do that all the time i had a new ( thingy )put on the door but it was still doing it .it only does it once in awhile now i would be setting in the car and all i would do is move in my seat and they would start flashing.i never did find the prob but it hardly ever does it anymorei know i have a wire broken of under my seat and i think they were touching i cant get to it without taking out my seat .and i dont know how to do that so i put tape on one end of the wire .i dont know if that fixed it or not but i dont seem to have the prob much anymore

On my 85 the timer is up under the dash on the passenger side usually taped up in the wiring harness near the ECM. Get your new one so you know what to look for. I don't know if yours is in the same place but I hope this helps. It will take a thin long arm to change it.
