Recently I fixed a 96 conv. that had gone through a cable barrier.I ended up puting a whole used rear clip on it in one piece. It worked sweet. I just had to drop the carrier so it would slid in.As I was doing theis I noticed that the bird cage was simular to my coup.Is it possable to covert a coup to a conv?It looked as thou they just cut the roof bar and welded in the braces for the top.The windshield frame looked to be the same too minus the latches.Nothing I would do to my car but if I found a salvage Vette I would like to try.

Sounds like you've got the talent to pull it off if it can be done. I've got an old friend who for years has been doing convertible conversions on early Mustang notchbacks for owners and for resale.
