My knowledge is spotty but generally speaking, I believe you're correct. With the 84s, I think both the manual and ATs had 3.07s, and ALL were Dana 36s. The 84 performance axle was a 3.31 which I was told was only potentially available with the Z51 option. Apparently, the Z51 normally came with 3.07s wich is why the Dana 36 3.31s are so rare (only 410 ordered according to CAC)
