Targa squeaks.

My targa top on my 91 squeaks pretty bad at low speeds, is there anything I can do ??

I suppose you could try cleaning the weatherstripping with some silicone or petroleum that will lubricate it as well.

I'd check all the hardware for anything loose too.

Try cleaning the weather stripping and applying some petroleum jelly (apply and wipe down with dry cloth). Did this to the T-Tops on my mom's Iroc a couple of years back -- haven't squeaked since.

Stop the squeak

Ecklers makes an inexpensive teflon or plastic strips for squeaking targas. I saw them in this months catalog. Check them out.

If you tighten the back bolts first and then the front it sits better.At least on mine.thouse felt pads help alot to.

Okay guys, thanks for the replys, I will try to clean the weather

stripping first and then order the parts if needed. I appreciate the advice!!

Make sure the bolts holding down the mounting brackets on the front header of the top are tight. That's where my squeaks were, and they never came back.
