If you like them, put them on. I have a friend that has a CE and he put red ones on. I think they look pretty good and it is easy to tell from other CE's. Guy

Many will argue that the GS stripe and hash marks are sacred ground not to be imitated. I remember all the non "GT" mustangs sporting the GT stripe. So if one wishes to wear the GS stripes, whole or in part, I say go for it. Its your car to do with as you please. Even if you want to paint flames on it.

I agree that some people may look at it as a "slap in the face" to put G.S. hash marks on it.
But at the same time I feel as if GM wanted the G.S. to stand alone they would not have made the LT-4 available in the other cars.
P.S.
I wouldnt put flames on it, at least not this one!!!!
I've seen all varieties of C4s with stripes and hash marks of different colors, most of which look excellent. If your car were Admiral Blue and you wanted to put red hash marks on it, I'd say you probably shouldn't since your car would look like an imitation GS. But since it's silver, I think they'd probably look great
When i first bought my vette i wanted hash marks and i am pretty sure its just because i just got it and want to do everything i could to it to make it mine. I am glad i didnt, unless you have the gs stripe personally i think they look out of place.
I saw the hash marks in the MID and eckler catalog and was thinking of getting them for my 87...but then I thought that it would look even more ridiculous or "wanna-be" like on an 87 as opposed to say a later c4.
I have a realy thin electric blue pin stripe which looks great so I would have to remove that which I don't want to do...so that was an easy choice of NO!!!!
