Anyone ever had the dip stick push out of the sleve. H appened to me the other day and some oil sprayed on the engine causing some smoke. Happened after I got a bit to heavy with the foot. Any thoughts?
SEEMS TO ME THAT IF THE DIP STICK BLOWS OUT OF THE METAL TUBE IT RESTS IN THEN THERE MUST BE A BUILD UP OF A LOT OF PRESSURE IN THE OIL PAN?? BLOWBY OF WORN RINGS INTO THE OIL PAN? (sorry about caps) Notice any great loss of compression, excess oil consumption, etc? I've heard of this with in really old tired motors where the dip stick is blown up slightly from the tube and the oil is also blown out of the crankcase onto the motor area. How about breather filters condition? Good luck. Bill

What is your Oil pressure at Idle, and High idle?
I agree, if you're lucky and what ZRWON said if you're not! Assuming the stick still fits with proper snugness (is that a word?) you have excessive crankcase pressure for one or the other reasons....
