I had popped under my car a saw a moist slave cylinder. I contemplated just replacing the slave but read many comments about replacing the master at the same time. If one's bad the other is not far behind. So I went ahead and got both parts.
As soon as I crawled up under the dash I saw the tell-tell signs of a leaking master.
Just a reminder that there is a healthy dose of collective wisdom here. And it will pay to listen to it.
