Wow thats gona be a $40 fill up .The price we pay for the thing we love.I really miss the days of $1.15 a gallon.
Me too @ $1.15/gal, but look at the good side; if you fill up every time it reaches the 1/2 mark it only costs you $20 for a fill-up and I get 25mpg now vs 7mpg when I paid about a buck/gal.
85 is 20 gals. Good guess that all C4s are the same.
FWIW, the ZR1 tank was modified to hold less than 20 in 1993. To remain in the same EPA certification class GM had reduce the weight of the '93 ZR1 by a small amount. They did this by installing a rubber extension on the fuel filler pipe to limit the fuel capacity to 18 gallons.
You guys in the US are soooo lucky! Out here in Europe, gasoline doesn't cost 2 dollars a gallon... after having converted liters to gallons and euros to dollars, it costs 7.17 dollars per gallon at the moment.
It holds 20, but you can only use 18 of them. I've run out of gas with 2 gallons still in my tank.
Interesting... I've filled mine with 19.75 gallons once after sputtering into the gas station when my sending unit broke. There was still enough gas getting picked up to let the car idle but it was difficult to actually drive it.

You're the first one I've heard of that's been able to put more than 18 and change in the tank.

what's your minimum wage over there? and taxes on the gas?

I had to look that up for you. Minimum wage, for people of 23 years of age and over, is 12168 euros a year, which is about $18k before taxes. Tax rate on income at that level I'm not sure, probably about 20-30%. When you get over a certain amount, say $40k a year, taxrate will be over 50, in some cases even 70%.
The tax on gas is 67 cents per liter. (which costs about $1.28) So about half the price of gas goes directly to the government.
