I just got my delteq installed. I just wanted to tell everyone who is thinking of one that they are great, especially customer service. Last week I ordered it, well pete said they were coming through my area the next day & they would drop it off so I could save shipping and get it faster. Well I got it installed, and nothing. It seems the rebuilt optispark I got for it from the autoparts store was not working right. It was firing an extra pulse. So instead of them saying it isn't our fault, go buy a new $300+ g.m. unit, they said they would try to rewrite the software to work with these rebuilt optisparks. Well 2 days later they got it done and overnighted it here, and sincerely apologized for the wait. I put it on and it fired right up. They are in the process of sending me a new sealed one, because this was just a test unit for me and it wasn't sealed. They are also sending a prepaid postage envelope so I dont't have to pay to ship the other one back.
I will give this company more of my business in the future, and I took the time to write this because they are a great company and I think they should at lest be considered if doing a multiple coil setup.
I installed a Delteq multi-coil system on my 94 coupe about 1500 miles ago. Car has 122,000 miles on it and was on its second opti. It hit first time out of the box and has been solid as a rock ever since. While I didn't need Delteq's customer service, it is good to know they are willing to go to such lengths to make thing right. With the ease of installation versus a new optispark, this really is something to consider rather than a new opti.
Also I will have as an option for cool wires sets or cut to fit (different colors and from 8-10 mm wires ) and powered coated brackets option in a few weeks to make the system look even better
