Default Thanks Charley??

Also discovered pass. side wheel is damaged, and there is a nice mark on the back end right above the 3rd brake light. Additional damage on the roof, the pillar behind the roof, the pillar (thats black) on the windshield, the parking light area between the lights on the front bumper thats black, and underneath the door on the passenger side. Guess Charley is going to be supplying me with a new paint job.

This was all from debri that came from a carport next door that exploded. The carport took out a C5 parked under it also.

Many hurricane pics here (dial up not friendly)

You got that right Frank!!!

When charley came through (we had 100-125 mph winds at my place) I was outside, smoking and drinking. Beer never left my hand Friday from 11am til Sat whenever it was I passed out.
I wonder if I can claim a 20 pack on my insurance

We had a threat of heavy winds up this way, but they never came. Had 5 coolers full of beer outside!

5?? damn, thats more than I had!! I figured if it got too bad, I'd just loot the bar next to me

btw, me, being crazy, drunk, and just a down right nutcase, went out to my car, smoke in my mouth, beer in my hand, and grabbed the metal that was slapping ruby while we were in the middle of the cane. winds were slow, probably 50 to 60 mph at the time I was doing this... I wish someone could have got it on video camera

Yeah 5 coolers, we were having a retirement party for one of my buddies. We had a lot of rain, but the strong winds never came.

I just got off the phone with my bro, he's back in Tampa, all is well.

There's only a few people I know down here not accounted for, but they both work for EMS / Fire so I'm sure they are busy as hell. And ole' Hurricane Earl is on a similar track right now. Hopefully this one misses, I still have no flood insurance.

At least you got out with your life. Others were not as blessed. I believe that's how you have to look at it when it comes to material things.

Sucks Gene. Is your Ruby a ZR-1? or you talking about the bumper 3rd brake light?

Wow sorry to hear that. We got pretty beat up here in the Orlando area too. Lots of people still have no power. Driving around just the little bit I did it looks like a war zone. Amazing how destructive these storms are. Was that a garage that blew apart or just a carport shelter? Carports are like my rear porch, just an aluminum roof supported by aluminum poles. Not much resistance. Mine stay dry and protected in the garage.

Best wishes on getting things back together.

Seems like you'd have better luck abandoning the cars in a field than being under that carport. Good luck wiith your claim.

Its not a Z (wish it was ) so yes, referring to the back bumper area.

Wheel cleaner... not a bad idea. I think the brakes are messed up because the wheels get way too dirty way too fast. Some of that dirt was from the hurricane too.

DINO, all the beer was safe, well, untill i ripped its cap off '

Y'all be sure to check out the DCTC thread too. I'll be bringing stuff up to him this week.
