Default Door Panel Rework - YECH!!!!!

I have spent the past 2 days trying to replace lightbulbs and generally cleanup/fix my drivers door panel. I have found things like the wiper switch 'gluded' in place since the plastic screw holders were broken off, the tabs that hold the door lock switch broken off, and most of all, major breaks in the plastic parts of the panel. Right now I am using JB Weld to patch the cracks and it seems to be working. I have also used it on the 'skin' to glue down areas where they pulled loose. On top of that, the staples that hold the carpet on hurt like hell when you drag them across your body. Oh well, it was my bright idea to try to make them look more presentable and I guess if I succed then it will be worthwhile.

I've used JB Quick Weld extensively on the inside of my driver's door panel to repair cracks and it works very well indeed.

Also, black RTV works very well to hold carpte to the lower door panel. You just need to clamp it over night.

While you're working on them, think about putting insulation between the panels and doors. Makes a big difference. I also suggest the metal door pull inserts to protect your already dmaged panel.
