What is the best upgrade for headlight/foglights? I want to keep everything looking stock, but those headlights are horrible! Is there a way to get more light from the "fog lights", they seem more like corner markers to me.

Ok, but does anyone have any upgrades to the fog lights? I have silverstars up top, they're great... but how bout some offroad lights down below or something? I'd rather put em in there than in the license plate housing, if I can find good rectangular ones.
Is there anyway to remove the factory reflectors for the fog lights and fit some aftermarket projector beams back there?? How much do the Hella's run? Where did you get them?
I got the euro H4 conversions from www.rallylights.com. They are the 200mm Hella HL79567 which run $37 each. I got my Osram Silverstars from www.powerbulbs.com and I think they costed me about $35 for the pair. I used to have regular Hella Halogen bulbs which were 55/100w but I put the 55/60 watt Silverstars in because they are closer to stock wattage and they seem to be even better than the Hellas.
I used Silverstars purchased on Ebay. I drive my vette seven days a week in the dark and the stock headlights were the worst. This mod
really made a diference.

After I've done my main headlights, I asked the same shop how much that exact thing would run, projector beams with hid's for the fogs. The price back then was about 2K, but with the price of hid kits these days, it would probably run you no more than 1k now.

Although cool...that's alot of f***in money for some light!!!

From what I've seen you are looking at $800+ to get used parts off a wrecked car (bulbs, projector housings, ballasts). $1200+ for a new kit. No thanks... I had Xenons on my BMW and loved them, but no way would I spend that much on lights for my vette.... $120 sure....

Forget about HID. I dunno about you, but these aren't lights I plan on using with other traffic. I want some crazy bright KC daylighters, or something similar. I want to turn the night into day. HID focuses to make a light horizon to be oncoming-traffic-friendly, and does it without using much power draw. I'm not worried about either of those things. Same reason you don't see HID lights used for offroad lights.
