My 94 should be delivered here tomorrow after some really stressful days,(not worth going into). Anyhow I am wondering what, if any periodicals you guys suggest. Are there any good ones out there that do a good job of covering the C4. Mine is bone stock and I will use it for pleasure not a daily driver (at least that's the story I tell my wife). Sorry for the long post, but I would like your input.

The best Corvette magazine out there is Corvette Quarterly in my book, has a G.M. connection I believe but hard to find.I havent had an issue in awhile. The two magazines most read are alright, mostly generic but will help with basic info for someone new to the hobby. You can usually find one of these at a supermarket or a book store.

Bruthish, I realize that this is the place to be, just thought there was printed matter that was good.

To be honest with you, you will learn far more here than from any magazine. If you post a question here, it is answered immediately. If you email a question to a magazine, they usuually print it and you get an answer a couple of months later. They tend to say nice things about people who buy advertising in their magazines, cost to owners is not a consideration.

For strictly entertainment value, I enjoy reading corvette fever. I also get and enjoy corvette quarterly for free. Dont ask me how, it just started showing up in my mailbox.

This magazine seems to do a very good job and is focused on all the "C's", including the C4's - the current issue has a C4 tune / performance article and some other C4 stuff

Good reading -

I personally think Corvette Magazine is the best, followed by Corvette Fever.

Stay away from Vette Magazine. It's a fish wrapper.

While I agree with the above that you can get more info quicker here on the Forum, I look forward to the magazines just to re-inspire me to finally finish my car.

I have to agree. It's the classiest and the Tech Nerd section is HUGE and always a great read.

Join National Corvette Museum, you can get your original window sticker, dealer brochure, and build sheet when you join. As a member you get Corvette Quarterly.

Also Corvette Magazine is pretty good.

But for advise and tips the forum is the best place. Magazines are pretty much entertainment.

There are no magazines specifically for the C4. The only Corvette magazine that was generation specific was the late, lamented "Shark Quarterly" which was exclusively for the 1968-1982 C3 Corvettes.

As others have said, the best place for information is right here on this forum. Otherwise, Corvette Enthusiast (formerly Cars & Parts Corvette) is very good. Corvette Magazine is well written but does not have much in the way of how-to articles. Corvette Fever and Vette are both by the same publisher, and it seems what one does one month, the other does the next month and vice-versa. Some months are good, some not so good.

Hi,

Corvette Quarterly is on the stands at B and N on the east coast right now. Just bought one.

Corvette Fever is great except for Dave Emanual. His ego and misdirected humor gets in the way of his extensive knowledge of Vettes.

Regards,

Don

Welcome to the Forum and congrats on your new Vette.

I subscribe to "Corvette Magazine", "Corvette Fever", "Vette", "Tripple White" and just picked up a free issue of "Corvette Enthusiast" at Carlisle. I believe you can access most of these on line to get some idea of type of content. Then give one or two a try.

Though I don't know of any C4 specific pubs there is lots of info to be had on your C4. As suggested, join the NCM and pick up a copy of the build sheet and window sticker as well as the original sales lit. If you are into turning wrenches you cannot beat a copy of the GM Shop Manual for your Vette.

Enjoy your new Vette and save the wave.

Thanks for all the input. I have already acquired a GM Shop manual, the one I bought is a white cover all in one book. I'm sure it's the same as the red cover ones though. Also, as I stated in another thread, I took the RPO codes and figured them out, realizing I got more than I thought I was buying (Z07 to be specific). What exactly will the build sheet tell me that the RPO codes don't?? But I believe my best bet is to stay right here in the fold on this forum. I've already learned a ton.
